Australian-owned and operated consumer leasing company Essential Appliance Rentals (EAR) provides all Australians with easy access to essential household goods and appliances, from all leading consumer brands and includes, computers, mobile phones, home appliances, televisions, indoor and outdoor furniture and much more.

The business was established in 2006 driven by a founding principle of ensuring that customers can access the essentials of life, be it access to basic household appliances or technologies that many of us take for granted.

Demand has taken the business nationwide from its original base in Melbourne and this growth has powered the expansion of product categories on offer to reflect a full cross-section of everyday consumer products.

Today, EAR is enabling 16,000 customers to access items regarded as necessary to effectively participate in modern life. EAR largely operate as an online retailer, with a customer service support team for those clients preferring to connect with us via our Australian based call centre.

EAR executive, Luke Mayman, says ‘our business services customers from all walks of life who, for various reasons, choose not to pay for products upfront. Consumer leasing has a reach and appeal to many demographics, beyond those on low incomes and income support. Affordability is firmly established on receipt of every customer’s application, utilising our bespoke credit assessment program’.
