Snaffle: in profile

Snaffle is Australia’s leading consumer leasing brand, offering consumers a flexible, affordable option to access high-quality household and personal technology products from all the leading consumer brands, including Apple, Samsung and SMEG.

Established in 2020 as the Aspire42 Consumer Division’s flagship brand, Snaffle delivers more Australians and Australian families the opportunity to access, upgrade or replace household items at affordable prices utilising a flexible finance product.

Being Australia’s largest provider of consumer leasing products – the consumer division of dynamic Australian business development group Aspire42 employs 165 full-time staff across its operations.
Snaffle offers hundreds of items on consumer leases and will source, and lease unique items nominated by consumers in accordance with its customer service promise of ‘Whatever you want, we’ll get it for you’.

Consumer leasing is an important community service, with an estimated 700,000 active consumer leases in place in Australia at any one time. It offers equitable access for a significant number of individuals and families otherwise unable to access both ‘need it now’ and essential household items. Household essentials, including appliances and furniture, are regarded as an important influence on individual and family wellbeing (de Silva 2017).

Aspire42’s leadership team has extensive experience within highly regulated environments across financial services and ensures that common sense compliance is at the forefront of all Aspire42 business operations.

The brands within Aspire42’s consumer and commercial leasing divisions are committed to supporting a responsible leasing industry in Australia. Aspire42 has conceived and driven the establishment of an industry body and introduction of a code of conduct, setting industry standards and compliance obligations. Responsible Leasing Australia (RLA) membership is stringently measured by compliance with the RLA Code of Conduct and the National Consumer Credit Protection Bill 2009.

Snaffle not only adheres to the RLA Code of Conduct and to regulatory requirements, but often surpasses them.

Formed in early 2020, Aspire42 focuses on lifestyle improvement.
